Residential Floor Polishing
We all know, but feel compelled to share, it is all in the prep. Without proper preparation most project either will not look right or will not last. Call it the Day’s Creteworx Difference.
The process all started with a deep grind to remove all of the glue and trowel marks in the concrete. Once the floor was clean and without man made imperfections, we installed our epoxy grout to fill in any imperfections.
The next step was densifier… So what is Densifier and how does it work?
We spread multiple layers, which penetrates the concrete surface and bonds all of the different compounds and sand particles into a crystalline bond. By bonding any loose or weak materials to be one, the surface density and abrasion resistance is magnified and greatly increased.
Once the surface is ready, we finished it off with a penetrating stain guard and polish, and polish and polish some more. All the way up to a 3000 grit finish. In the auto paint finishing world that is often referred to wet sand polishing. It gives a mirror finish which is what we archived here with the concrete floor. Some would say it looks like Terrazzo.
