Diamond Polished Concrete
In a recent project for RSDC, an Innovative Steel and Aluminum Processing and Warehouse in Holt, Michigan. An 8,500 sq. foot of concrete remediation project that had been maintained and recoated multiple times over the years. Heavy forklift traffic helped with the deterioration leading to conditions that were difficult to maintain and in some cases unsafe.
We developed a multiple step plan that restored the concrete surface to a better than new status. This included PCD (Poly Crystalline Diamond), heavy removal utilizing all Sase Tooling, High Tech Systems Epoxy grout coat allowing us to do the needed repairs, and then polish up to 200 grit with Ameripolish SR2.
Once we completed the first 8,500 square feet of Diamond Polished Concrete, the client more than double the project, adding over 10,00 square feet. Today more than 19,000 square feet are up to 30% brighter because of the new surfaces reflective qualities, and much easier to maintain. And far more secure and safe to drive and walk on.
